Embark on a day trip from Marrakech to explore the stunning Atlas Mountains and charming Berber villages. Enjoy a special visit to the famous Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou. Experience a scenic drive through breathtaking landscapes, passing the Tizi n’Tichka pass and enjoying views of the L’Ounila Valley.
Your adventure begins with a three-hour drive through the High Atlas Mountains. We will stop in Tichka, at 2,250 meters, for traditional Berber coffee or tea.
As you descend from Tichka to Aït Ben Haddou, the scenery changes from lush greenery to arid terrain. You will pass charming clay-built Berber villages. Upon reaching Aït Ben Haddou, just 30 kilometers from Ouarzazate, explore the UNESCO-listed Kasbah, famous for its appearances in many films. Capture stunning views by wandering through the narrow streets.
In Ouarzazate, explore the city by visiting the local souk and the Taourirt Kasbah, perched on a hill and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Alternatively, stroll through the palm grove of Ouarzazate, stretching from Lake Al Mansour to the studios.
Don’t miss the Cinema Studios, open to visitors and showcasing locations used in major films. End your day with a return to Marrakech in the late afternoon, followed by drop-off at your accommodation.
You will be picked up from your hotel/riad/accommodation in Marrakech. If you are staying inside the Medina (old town), your meeting point will be at the nearest accessible point for vehicles.
