Your private full-day excursion to Essaouira from Marrakech begins at 8:00 AM. After approximately three hours of scenic driving, you will discover the citadel of Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador.
Before reaching Essaouira, you will have the opportunity to stop for a coffee break halfway through the journey. This is a great chance to enjoy the landscape and take beautiful photos. You can also visit a traditional women’s cooperative that produces argan oil, a unique specialty of this region. (The visit is free and available upon request.)
Before entering the city of Essaouira, you will stop to take panoramic photos of the city.
Once in Essaouira, you can admire the port located at the foot of the ramparts, which were built at the same time as the city. You will have the chance to explore the Scala, the municipal market, the souks, the jewelry quarter, and the artisanal complex.
Lunch (not included) can be enjoyed at one of the numerous restaurants offering a wide selection of fresh fish. You may also take advantage of the beach, stroll around, and swim if you wish.
You will leave Essaouira around 4:00 PM for your return to Marrakech and then to your place of accommodation.
Picked up from your hotel/riad/accommodation in Marrakech. If you are staying inside the Medina (old town), your meeting point will be at the nearest accessible point for vehicles.
